Started with video game automation
I was around ten years old, hanging out with friends online, and I started writing automation scripts so I could farm gold and level up while I was sleeping. That was the first time I figured out the simple truth that runs my whole career: if a thing is repetitive, a computer can do it for you. It just took me a few decades to apply it to something that pays better than gold drops.
An auto shop family with a tech-savvy kid
My mom worked the office at an auto shop. My dad was a mechanic at a different shop down the street. The kids of their friends in the local automotive industry ended up being my best friends growing up — one of them eventually went on to get a comp sci degree. I went the other way. No college, just kept building. My dad was actually the more tech-savvy one — he wrote his own HTML, knew C++, and ran his own server for his shop's CRM software. He raised me to figure things out instead of pay for them.
Automation turned into cybersecurity
The same skills that let me automate video games eventually pulled me into the grey areas of cybersecurity. I spent years using legal-but-aggressive techniques to expose online predators — finding the people who target kids online and pulling their information out into the daylight. It wasn't glamorous and I'm not going to pretend it was a career path. It was a thing I did because I could, and because somebody should.
The Meta Ads moment
I started AdsMogul because I saw how powerful Meta Ads were. It felt like hacking. I'd talk about something out loud near my phone — a trip to Milan, randomly — and within a day I'd be getting hyper-specific ads for it. There was no way that was an accident. I dug into the Meta Ads platform the same way I'd dug into game files and security holes years earlier, and what I found was a system that, run correctly, can put a small business in front of exactly the right people for a fraction of what every agency in town was charging.
Dad's auto shop was the first proof
My dad gave me a shot running ads for his Bakersfield auto repair shop. He'd been in business long enough that every month was usually better than the last — but the month before I started, he was actually having his worst month in a while. We ran my first real Meta Ads campaign for his shop, and that month became his best month to date. We kept going. He still asks me to run his ads. The man who taught me how to write code is now my longest-running client.

I founded AdsMogul Marketing in 2024 in Bakersfield, CA, around a simple thesis: local service businesses deserve real marketing — not cookie-cutter retainers, not 12-month contracts, not "best practices" decks. I started building my own software because the SaaS bills for the tools every agency uses are insane and the products are bloated.
